Drunken Devil is a Los Angeles-based brand and universe of characters and narratives, with productions spanning live, digital, and audio platforms. The brand was created in 2015 by producer and filmmaker Matt Dorado, originally as a haunted house event. Since its inception and debut event, the brand has told stories through haunted houses, immersive theatre, nightlife experiences, and digital narratives, all of them focused around the character of the Drunken Devil and his minions.
Guests of these experiences were transported to infernal netherworlds, including a haunted tiki bar, a cursed Old Hollywood movie sets, a vampire-run brothel in New Orleans, and even to the depraved and bloody court of the infamous emperor Caligula.
After Covid-19 shuttered the live entertainment industry, the brand made a pivot, drawing inspiration from the live events and producing content for audiences worldwide to enjoy. The first project in this new format is The Cosmic Game, an audio drama that fuses campy horror, high fantasy, and epic storytelling… with cocktails.
The brand will continue to expand in 2022 and beyond, with multiple projects within the Drunken Devil universe in development.
